Partnering with the Christian Home

“The mission of Pusch Ridge Christian Academy is to teach our students to become like Christ
through a classical Christian education within a covenantal community.”

Pusch Ridge Christian Academy is a faith-infused school that values each student’s distinctiveness and invests in students and their abilities as they are challenged to deepen his or her relationship with Christ and His people. This approach encourages each child to reach their academic potential, helps students walk through their faith journey during challenging years in a confusing world, and teaches them to learn to look expectantly to God and His plan for their lives.

“Our family has been tremendously blessed by the godly leadership of Pusch Ridge Christian Academy. The school is committed to a covenantal partnership with parents and that goes far beyond lip service. That covenantal partnership is the foundation of a school that will help your child excel academically, athletically, and in the arts.” - John Beeson, parent
PRCA’s Commitments to our Families

  • Provide a rich classical, Christian education seeking truth, goodness and beauty and cultivating wisdom and virtue
  • Support parents in preparing young disciples who share the love of Christ with others
  • Strive to help students develop their gifts and talents
  • Foster authentic relationships that cultivate deep spiritual growth
  • Allow students to voice their beliefs and concerns in a safe environment, free of shame or condemnation, and to walk alongside them as they develop their faith
  • Pray for each student individually as they learn and grow, that their educational and emotional needs will be met
  • Ensure that teachers and staff are active Christ followers and actively seek Him and His will for their lives

Family Commitments to PRCA

  • Commit to following Christ and being active in a local church (at least one parent and/or the student must profess a belief in the Christian faith through a personal relationship with Jesus)
  • Value PRCA’s dedication to teaching from a Biblical worldview, and reinforce those principles
  • Actively discuss with your children what they are learning at school
  • Support the school policies, procedures and authority of the administration and school board
  • Pray for the school, students, faculty, administration, volunteers and school board

What is PRCA seeking in a Family Partnership?

Families Committed to Christ: PRCA seeks families that are actively involved in a local body of believers, regardless of denominational affiliation. The goal is not simply head knowledge, but a living and active faith that takes root in speech and action. A common foundation, regarding faith and learning, enables PRCA to be an extension of the Christian home.

Shared Value on High Academic Standards and a Strong Work Ethic: Pusch Ridge Christian Academy believes that all children are created in the image of God, and we respect the uniqueness of their personalities. As the primary educators of their children, parents are called upon to be actively involved with their young children as they do homework, and continue to ensure diligence and offer support as students mature. While our students are pushed academically, teachers also strive to balance work loads so students may experience a well-rounded life that includes athletics, fine or performing arts, and serving their community.

Mutual Respect for a Broad-Based Education Affecting the Heart and Mind: Some parents desire a mainstream education for their children. However, PRCA represents a different option in purpose, form and content. From our dress code to our emphasis on writing and speaking to our study of great books, our ultimate goal is to shape the hearts and minds of our students in a culture of Christian discipleship. This broad education provides a foundation in all subjects which allows students to pursue whatever God has called them to do, and PRCA graduates pursue studies in a variety of disciplines. PRCA teaches students to think deeply and Biblically and to love learning in a positive, Christ-centered environment.
