School and Community
  • Pusch Ridge founders envisioned a school that would serve the broader Tucson community, reaching a wide and diverse socio-economic and cultural population. 
    Over 88% of families in the school system receive some form of scholarship aid and/or tax credit awards. 
  • Since 2010, 36 Pusch Ridge students have been designated National Merit Semi-Finalists, National Merit Scholars or National Merit Commended Scholars.
  • Since 2006, U.S. Military Academies have offered appointments to 18 students.
  • Our graduating students matriculate to colleges and universities such as Azusa Pacific, UCLA, U.S. Naval Academy, Baylor, Westmont College, U.S. Air Force Academy, Hillsdale College, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, Wheaton College, University of Arizona and Pepperdine University.  The class of 2018, numbering 93 graduates, received over $8.3 million in academic scholarship offers. 
  • Athletics: Since 2001, the athletic teams of Pusch Ridge have combined for 78 regional championships, 12 state final fours, 16 state runners-up, and 17 state championships in 18 sports. Pusch Ridge is the winner of the prestigious Don F. Stone award, which is awarded to the Arizona Interscholastic Association high school with overall excellence in interscholastic activities that include music, speech and athletics, for 2010-2011 and 2012-2013.
  • Fine Arts: Pusch Ridge offers a full fine arts program: music courses include both choral and instrumental performance groups including marching band; drama courses are performance based; the visual arts courses offered include pottery, drawing, painting, photography and graphic design.
  • Community Service: A hallmark of the Pusch Ridge curriculum is volunteering, both locally and internationally. The school requires that high school students complete a minimum of 20 hours of community service per year. From serving the homeless at the Gospel Rescue Mission in south Tucson, to participating in short-term missions in Africa and Brazil, students are impacting the world while learning that leadership begins with service.
  • Expeditionary Learning takes place outside of the classroom without a textbook, and has included trips to Mexico, backpacking up Mount Lemmon and assisting with hurricane relief.
  • The school operates on a modified block schedule with two block days for extended instruction each week. 

Facts of 2018 Graduates
 The Class of 2018 received scholarship offers totaling $8.3 million. Of the 93 graduates, 84% were awarded college scholarship opportunities.
