Getting to Know Rachel Hesse

I've been at the Grammar School for 3 years where I've been teaching 1st grade. This year I am the Dean of Student Life at the GS.

I was part of a team of moms/teachers who started up a classical, Christian School in our tiny Texas town in 2010.

My husband and I have been married for 20 years and we have two children, who attend PRCA. Neland Grayson is a junior and Hagen Blake is in 8th grade.

Both our kids are involved in sports at school and in club teams so they keep me busy with practices & games. I also love to read!

I hope that through me students that need to feel and know the love of Jesus will receive that and know they are loved just the way they are.

A classical Christian education is the training of the mind and heart, through a Biblical worldview, that grows with the natural development of a child. Our children will be able to defend what is good, true & beautiful in a world that is trying to erase it. What greater joy is there than to hear your children are walking in the truth? - 3 John 3:1.

It's all the little things like curbside dads, class parties, Pusch Perk, expeditionary learning, the house system, Legacy Lions, Coffee Cart Fridays, teacher devotions, ....I'm sorry, did you say one thing??? Oops!

I'm looking forward to growing and learning more in my new role at the Grammar School. As we know, there is no perfect place, however I do feel like at PRCA we strive to be the hands & feet of Jesus. My prayer is that as we go through life together, we won't take the bait of Satan, which is offense, and keep our hearts fixed on our Lord.
