Covenantal Community

A Covenantal Community

The mission of Pusch Ridge Christian Academy is to teach our students to become like Christ through a classical, Christian education within a covenantal community.

Pusch Ridge Christian Academy is a faith-based school that values each student’s individuality and invests in students and their potential as they are challenged to deepen their relationships with Christ and His people. This approach encourages students to not only reach their academic potential, but walk in faith during joyful and challenging times, as well as teach them to learn to look expectantly to God and His plan for their lives. The covenantal relationship means that the school and the Christian home commit, together and in tandem, to raise the child “in the way he should go.”
PRCA Commitment to Families

  • Provide a rich classical, Christian education seeking truth, goodness and beauty while cultivating wisdom and virtue
  • Support parents in preparing young disciples who share the love of Christ with others
  • Strive to help students develop their gifts and talents
  • Foster authentic relationships that cultivate deep spiritual growth
  • Encourage students to voice their beliefs and concerns in a safe environment, free of shame or condemnation, and walk alongside them as they develop their faith
  • Pray for each student individually as they learn and grow, that their educational and emotional needs will be met
  • Ensure that teachers and staff are active Christ followers and consistently seek Him and His will for their lives

Family Commitment to PRCA

  • Commit to following Christ and being active in a local church (at least one parent and/or the student must profess a belief in the Christian faith through a personal relationship with Jesus)
  • Value PRCA’s dedication to teaching from a Biblical worldview, and reinforce those principles
  • Engage in discussions at home regarding classroom lessons and school life
  • Support the school policies, procedures and authority of the administration and school board
  • Pray for the school, students, teachers, administration, volunteers, and school board

Why PRCA Partners with Families

Growth in a Community Committed to Christ: PRCA seeks families that are actively involved in a local body of believers, regardless of denominational affiliation. The goal is not simply head knowledge but a living and active faith that takes root in speech and action. A common foundation, regarding faith and learning, enables PRCA to be an extension of the Christian home.

Shared Value on High Academic Standards and a Strong Work Ethic: PRCA believes that all children are created in the image of God, and we respect the uniqueness of their personalities. As the primary educators of their children, parents are called upon to be actively involved with their young children as they do homework, and continue to ensure diligence and offer support as students mature. While our students are pushed academically, teachers also strive to balance work loads so students may experience a well-rounded life that includes athletics, fine or performing arts, and serving their community.

Mutual Respect for a Broad-Based Education Affecting the Heart and Mind: Some parents desire a mainstream education for their children. However, PRCA represents a different option in purpose, form and content. From our dress code to our emphasis on writing and speaking to our emphasis on "The Greats," our ultimate goal is to shape the hearts and minds of our students in a culture of Christian discipleship. This broad education provides a foundation in all subjects which allows students to pursue whatever God has called them to do. PRCA teaches students to think deeply and Biblically and to love learning in a positive, Christ-centered environment.
