Juliana Martinez ('17) Serves as Student Body President of Dordt University
Juliana says that her heart's desire is to love people and help people solve problems in a way that glorifies God and preserves our biblical values and our matchless U.S. Constitution.
Juliana Martinez is filled with gratitude for her time at Pusch Ridge Christian Academy. "I am so thankful for my high school. I learned so much and hope Pusch Ridge continues to be academically rigorous and glorifying to Jesus Christ. Pusch Ridge changed my life."
Juliana was raised by a single mother who understood the value of a Christian education. Her grandfather, Tom Armour, was the much admired Bible teacher and Athletic Director of Palo Verde Christian School, the school that first established a Christian school where the Upper School now sits.
Currently, Juliana attends Dordt University. She is a political science major with a minor in business. She loves learning and the ability to choose the classes she wants in politics and government. She is a self-described "news junky" who loves to debrief current events with friends and classmates.
Juliana has served as the Chairwoman of the Sioux Center precincts, so during the Iowa Presidential Caucuses she was able to view the news from the inside and appeared with Chris Wallace on Fox News during a community forum with the candidates. Moreover, Juliana has interned with Senator Joni Ernst and worked on the campaign of Randy Feenstra.
Please pray that Juliana is successful in this precious endeavor.
