A Bit about Nancy Fish

Nancy strives to convey to students who they are in Christ.

How long have you been at PRCA? In what capacity(ies)?

This is my 2nd year at the Grammar School Art Teacher.

Where did you teach before?

I taught for 36 years in Sunnyside School District; at least 25 of them was teaching elementary art. I have a dual certification; so I was also a classroom teacher, and a gifted education teacher.

Where did you grow up, and what is your educational background?

My family moved from Pennsylvania to Tucson when I was eight years old. I graduated from Palo Verde High School and the University of Arizona

Tell us about your family.
I have two adult children: Doug, 34 ,and Tessa, 31. Doug recently moved from Tucson to Michigan. Tessa and her husband, Josten, live in Scottsdale with my only grandchild, Kelton, who is my joy! Kelton was born in September of 2020.

What keeps you busy outside of school?

I enjoy dancing - West Coast Swing and Country. I have two chihuahuas that are my "kids". I enjoy visiting new places by taking road trips. This summer I went to Colorado to escape the Arizona heat. I am an avid Arizona Wildcat fan - particularly basketball - but I do follow most sports.

How do you hope to make a difference in the lives of PRCA students each year?

I hope to make a difference by being a positive, Christian role model and showing the joy of the Lord.

What do you love most about Pusch Ridge Christian Academy?

The whole environment: the community - students, staff, parents; the setting - the school building, and the amazing view.

Why do you think Christian education is important for families to consider?

As Christians, we are not of this world - we are set apart - it is vital to help our children who they are, in Christ, in a world that is so lost; so that we all can make a difference.

What's one thing that makes PRCA unique?

The value placed on enrichment classes as an integral part of education.

What is something that most people don't know about you?

I was a "nanny" for one of my former first grade student's daughter from 2 months old to preschool. What a great experience!

Anything else you'd like to add?

I am so blessed by the Pusch Ridge Community; and happy that God placed me here.
