GS Reading and Computer Keyboarding Teacher

How long have you been at PRCA?

19 years. I taught second grade for 16 years, taught Online Lions grades 1-3 for one year and have spent 2 years teaching Computer Keyboarding, and 3 as the Reading Teacher.

Any interesting jobs/positions you have had prior to working here that have strongly influenced you as a person and/or in your role at PRCA?

I attended Delaware County Christian School in PA for K-12, then Messiah College. I taught at Lambs Gate Preschool for 6 years. I have been involved in Christian schooling for a long time!

Where did you grow up, and what is your educational background?

I grew up in Pennsylvania, and earned a BA in Early Childhood Education.

Tell us about your family.
I am married and have three grown children who are married and all live in Tucson. I have 5 young grandchildren.

What keeps you busy outside of school?

My grandchildren. I care for them a couple days a week.

How do you hope to make a difference in the lives of PRCA students each year?

I hope to help the struggling readers at the Grammar School make good progress in their reading ability.

What do you love most about Pusch Ridge Christian Academy?

I love teaching at a Christian school and working with wonderful fellow teachers.

Why do you think Christian education is important for families to consider?

Christian education comes along side of families who are seeking to train their children in God's Word.
